Guest Pastor -  Jared Schroeder

Jared Schroeder is the pastor of Lafayette Community Church in Lafayette, OR for the past year. He grew up in McMinnville, OR, in a family of avid hunters and fishermen, graduating from McMinnville High School in 2004. While attending Linfield College, in his second year, he received Christ as his savior and felt the call from God to ministry. God opened doors for him to become an intern at Lafayette Community Church working closely with the youth pastor and soon after he was offered the position. For 10 years he served as youth pastor followed by a couple years as assistant pastor before the founding pastor retired and the church voted him as senior pastor. He is passionate about the word of God and the power of the gospel to transform lives. Jared enjoys being outdoors; fishing with his two young boys, day hikes, back packing, and camping with his family.

Pastor Jared will be preaching out of the book of 1 Corinthians to teach on “Act Like Men”.

Fly Fishing Speaker - Craig Schuhmann

Craig Schuhmann moved to Oregon with his family in 1980. This move was partly to accommodate his father's passion for steelhead fishing on the rivers of Oregon and Washington. When Craig was 10 he was initiated into his own passion for fly fishing with his father on the Owens River in California and again on the steelhead rivers in the Columbia Basin. He has managed to keep his fly rod working ever since. Taking a particular interest in trout, he has spent numerous seasons living and fishing in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. Craig brings to play his interest in the totality of the sport through writing, fly tying, entomology, guiding, education and conservation. Under his business "Guided Waters Fly Fishing" Craig has spent the last 12 years guiding on the Williamson and Wood rivers in Southern Oregon.

Craig began a career in writing in 2006 by accepting a contract to write a book for Moon Outdoors about Fishing in Oregon. In 2015, he was appointed the editor of Flyfishing & Tying Journal (Frank Amato Publications). Other published books: Get Started Fly Fishing (Amato Publications, 2012); 40 Great American Trout Flies (Amato Publications, 2016).

Craig holds a Masters of Arts in Theology from the University of Portland, obtained in 1996, and is the Director of Outreach for Integral Youth Services in Klamath Falls.
